The Vadnais Heights Green Team partnered with the Lions Club for their Waffle Breakfast on the 6th to help make the event waste-free. The Lions used composting plates, utensils, and napkins, and the placemats and milk cartons were recyclable. We were able to collect over 20 bags of compost that otherwise would have gone to a landfill!
We also had a table at the event, where we unveiled our new Little Green Library. The Green Library, similar to a Little Free Library, will house native plant seeds and books on sustainability. The library was made possible by donations from the Lions. It will have a permanent home near city hall — stay tuned for more details!
